Kàshi A city that intrigues me often For it's a living paradox... Where alone life is explained Turning one full circle;
On one end beams life With joy and glory While the other, Emanates the absolute truth... In between is the vast Ganges, That symbolizes our life Into which we bathe Rinse our sins, Watch the dead left half-burned Reminding death to be supreme
You watch the form burning in the pyre, Warmth escaping, Yet pierces us Reminding us Gulping the lifeless truth
Glistened by the red sun in the morning Evenings blaze While the orange-red haze Gulp the wood It's the city of lights A eulogy That metamorphizes the cycle of life
It welcomes death with open arms And celebrates it... Life is cherished here too A trance of its vividness A city, Everything and nothing Pure and supine! Life and death fall in love where, Just like the river and the earth meets the sky!!!
