Never Quit!

“Don’t just live life to gain fame
Follow your dreams
Even if people around call you crazy
The more they say you can’t
The more you should get pulled by zeal
Live life to the fullest
Follow your heart and listen to your intuitions.
Nothing’s impossible in the world than the word itself
Keep dreaming accompanied by actions
Fall and rise again
A spark is enough to create forest fire
A spark in your heart can create wonders
Don’t fear failure
Where a winner knows the formula to win
Failure will teach you which side not to look in
Break sweat rise up and leap again
Till such time
Your heart thumps blood
Nothing will ever go in vain
One day the star that was looked down upon
Will raise up to shine like the sun on the sky.
Don’t opt for anything less
Even if other feel your life to be a mess
You are born without name
Don’t just die as one
Success will be when your name turns into PRICE TAG!!!

If you prick in somebody’s eye,
don’t grieve or pity oneself.
Remember nobody can look straight into the eye of Sun,
unable to stand its radiance,
they blame it for its flamboyance.
When the actual truth is
They thrieve to become one like it
Because of their self imposed ignorance
They are unable to reach.
If you prick in somebody’s eye
Just pat yourself
Because you are on your way to become Sun.”

  1. I took dance classes from the age of four until my mother ended my lessons when I was eleven because my younger ten-year-old brother and dance partner nearly burned to death playing with gasoline. Although I felt horrible about what happened to my brother, what my mother did to me not only crushed me but changed the path of my life. Without dance, I was nothing. Long story short (and why this relates to your poem), sex traffickers held me captive for three years. During that time I contracted a sexually transmitted virus called Tropical Spastic Paraparesis which paralyzed my legs and now has me confined to be due to complications.

I will never forget the words of my beloved dance teacher who said to me, “Never give up, Nancy. Always follow your dreams.”

Your poem spoke to me, words I need to hear. Thank you for this. If you’re interested in knowing more about me I have another blog: http://www.nancyjeanwalker.me

I thank you for following me on pic-sycal. Otherwise I would never have found your amazing blog.

    1. I am glad to have met you here. People like you are inspirations to others who even after going through so much in life don’t fall back but hit back with grace and class. Dreams can be followed no matter what, if we have the heart to do it nothings impossible.

  2. “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” by Nietzsche.
This is true because we usually live our lives to confirm to someone else’s expectations and standards.
I love the part where you have symbolized the meaning of the entire write up in a line at the mention of the sun.
One of my favorite teachers once told me…”if you are a cobbler, shine the shoe to be the best cobbler. If you are a fisherman, catch the best. If you are a leader, be a world leader to yourself. Do best in the little you do, and then watch the magic of life.
I guess we all need that spark to ignite our hidden self and be a bliss junkie to take the leap into the other.
Truly said, some people die and 21 and are not buried until 60. (Similar 😛 )

Yeah another wonderful thought, Aishwarya. Loved it 🙂

    1. Connecting to our inner self is more important and doing what gives one immense joy and satisfaction important than anything. Nowadays the main reason for stress, depression and suicide is nothing but societal pressures and doing something for which the mind doesn’t agree to. The only way out of these is to follow what you dream. And never quit no matter what difficulties the world puts forth in our path.

      1. I totally agree. You have got a great approach to life here.
Wonderful to have found your blog because it mirrors my feelings.
I have been up to something which needed a lot of motivation and with the kind of negativity around, I was a little low. “Never quit”….. Your words are a shining among the clouds, a silver lining. Thanks a lot mate 🙂
